WISH HE'D PLAYED More HITS

I was actually looking forrard to this show but was disappointed for a couple of reasons. He but played five of his well known songs. He didn't play Moondance, Into the Mystic, Crazy Love, or Tupelo Dear. Besides the crowd at Ruth Eckerd Hall was very disrespectful. Talking loudly throughout the show and constantly getting upward to go alcohol.

VAN MORRISON CONCERT/RUTH ECKERD HALL/$/21/2022

I was so excited and anxiously awaiting the postponed Valentine gift from my beloved...a Van Morrison concert One of my all time favorites!!! it was a great disappointment!!!Before the concert started nosotros met people that had come from all effectually the U Southward to see this iconic guy. One couple had flown here to Clearwater from Mississippi...the wife had missed her 50th high schoolhouse reunion to see this great musician All he played was new???music. yous couldnt even understand the words he was singing and he was reading the words he sung. I will say the musicians and fill-in singers were great and his voice was pretty crawly, but other than that i really despise the discussion suck, only this was such a let downwards!!!!!It truly sucked a large i and the worst part about it was that not just did it suck, we spent a fortune on the tickets to see 1 of the worst concerts I have always attended!!!!Pitiful Van...Next time you abolish a concert dont reschedule it!!!!!!!And he never played any of his old beautiful songs when we left the concert i was in tears.

INTO THE MYSTIC

What a disappointment. He never played his top 10 hits. I was waiting to hear Into the Mystic sure he was going to play it. I tin't hardly write the review I was so disappointed thank goodness for a good friend that I was with that made the night memorable nonetheless simply he played a piffling known songs just to disappoint the whole oversupply who never fix for the whole thing. If yous've never seen him live and wanted to hear ane of his more than popular songs don't waste your money he won't pay it he did play days like this and a brusque bit of chocolate-brown eyed girl that was it

Nifty SEATS....LITTLE DISSAPPOINTED

Was at that place last nighttime. Did enjoyed show...simply don't expect any personal connection. He's on works hard sounds great. Looks FANTASTIC. Not any of my favorites sung. New stuff. Lots of individual playing and expert solos. I would go again only if it was all the old stuff

DISAPPOINTED

Groovy openings did my homework got last CD ready for that songs that I enjoyed on that merely know from new cd waited for Moon trip the light fantastic triple O Honey into the Mystic . I don't think he was feeling well blowing his nose a lot daughter was good and last did non innovate the band disappointing.

LAS VEGAS 2020

Nosotros accept loved his music for l years just the night we saw him at Ceasers Palace was a disappointment. He played a shortened version of Brownish Eyed Daughter and that was it of the all the hits he has created over the years. Great musicians in his ensemble including his saxophone play. We spent some practiced money flying out from Chicago when we could have simply played his hits on Alexa If you don't desire to play the songs that made you successful, don't tour!

Think VAN MORRISON???

Well, most people who love him would not have known it was him if they were non seeing him with their ain optics. Like so many other poor reviews stated...I was warned that he doesn't engage with the audience, he didn't play an encore even tho the band waited for well-nigh 20 minutes. Didn't play but 2 of the songs that put him on the charts. I even know his NEW stuff, simply ..This was the absolute well-nigh disappointed I have ever been at a concert. Hard to fifty-fifty mind to VM now :((

DISAPPOINTED

Six of us flew to La from the Midwest to run into Van Morrison. This has been a saucepan list concert for years. His voice is nonetheless strong only the get-go few songs were slow and he didn't sing Take I told yous lately, Brown eyed daughter and Moondance… we regretted making the effort and spending megabucks. . Come on Van, you may exist sick of these songs merely we love them!

I LEFT Pitiful & DISAPPOINTED

It felt like I've waited all my life for this concert, I was so excited to be at that place and to finally have a dream come true. However, equally the night progressed I realized it wasn't going to be the concert I had dreamt of. He played some blazon of jazz music and inappreciably any hit songs and the hit songs he did play were unrecognizable versions. Information technology wasn't until the encore did we hear a few songs that sounded familiar. I was so sad and disappointed. When he played my favorite song, "Have I told you lot lately that I dearest you", I didn't even recognize it. It was as if I paid a lot of money to go to a concert by someone I had never heard of. Van didn't seem to intendance if you came to his concert to hear his popular songs, he was playing for himself. Santa Barbara Bowl is a not bad venue though and the night was beautiful!

MISSED THE OLD STUFF

Went to Santa Barbara Bowl October iii, 2021. Van Morrison nevertheless has the great voice and energy to captivate his followers. I went expecting to hear the classics I've cherished for 40 years- Into the Mystic, Brown Eyed Girl, Moondance etc. but instead, most of the evening featured songs that I was hearing for the first time. He did sing some of the classics but the arrangements were different. The terminal x-15 minutes was dedicated to the expert old stuff including Gloria, which brought anybody to their feet auspicious and singing forth. Nosotros left the basin energized with the skilful onetime stuff but wishing there were more of the Van Morrison we grew upwardly on.

LOS ANGELES HOLLYWOOD BOWL Oct 2, 2021

It never occurred to me to wait for reviews for a concert before, simply lesson learned. DO Not spend your money on Van Morrison. When I heard his first vocal and listened to the lyrics, I knew it was going to stop badly. He was stating that he didn't desire to sing the hits. Maybe he doesn't own the masters, and doesn't make money off them. He sang ii hits with revised arrangements that took a minute to recognize them. He did NOT say hello or acknowledge the audition. And people are spending their difficult earned money for a ticket. He behaved as if he was indifferent and could not expect to be gone. Left the stage at the finish. No goodnight. Will not be ownership the new album. No Thanks.

WORST CONCERT EVER

I have been going to concerts all over the identify for 40 years. This is by far the worst I have always seen. Who would take thought the sound at the Hollywood bowl could sound like an AM radio. It was horrendous. He had exactly zero energy and I thought literally he was going to autumn comatose at whatsoever moment. Thankfully I paid only $thirty for for the seat which in hindsight was likewise much. This guy manifestly hates his audience hates his fans because he could care less what he sounded like what he looked similar or what he's sang. It was truly pathetic

WORST Show Always

Have ever loved VM but Saturday at the Bowl was a huge disappointment. He has changed his style completely- sounded more like big ring Jazz. Most of the set list was comprised of new stuff and it was hard to sit through equally we hoped he would do something from the era that made him famous. Even when he did former hits like Into The Mystik, information technology was done in this new style then barely recognized the vocal. His vocalism is still good only equally the evening progressed, he sang louder and louder until it felt like he was just yelling into his mic! This is rumored to be his final tour and based upon Saturday's performance, one can only hope that is true!

VAN THE MAN

Thus one understands how important Van the Human is in stone music. Going to a concert by him is like getting to a Stones or Beatles or John Lee Hooker concert. It'southward equally good as it can perchance go.

Fabulous MOVING Testify

Van Morrison brought the business firm downward at the Hollywood Basin, California. The band was in top notch form. Played his new music and some old classics in Jazzy form. Information technology was a peachy night Into the Mystic. He didn't disappoint later all these years. What a voice! What a talent, he blew his sax, played his harp. But GREAT

VAN @ THE HOLLYWOOD Bowl - DISASTER

What a waste product of time the audition just politely responded. Why bother to play if your not listening to the fans who have supported y'all over the years. It will have me a long time if ever to mind to a Van Morrison vocal without thinking of the improve songs I could of heard alive.

VAN MORRISON HOLLYWOOD Basin

What a disappointment- have grown up listening to his music and know most of the lyrics. The atmosphere was perfect to have a much predictable wonderful night. Van comes on and his outset song sang virtually how he wasn't going to sing his old songs. At present I had read the reviews and reviewed his vocal list but I hoped he would come through with his songs that everyone came to hear. He sang excerpts of iii songs!! Merely 3!!! And he sang them so fast like he couldn't look to stop singing them. I have never been so disappointed at whatever concert and I have seen many. Don't waste your money! Believe all the reviews- you will exist disappointed!!

3.0 star rating Danny Archambault from Los Angeles, California

CONCERT

He sounded skillful just had no dialogue with fans; just sang. He changed the tempi on some songs and inverse the familiar sound the fans were looking for. His hype man (pianist) kept proverb Van Morrison and I retrieve Van was waiting for the roars from the audition to beg him to come out. Evidently the cheers were non loud enough and he did not return but left his band awkwardly playing. The crowd was allow down as he failed to sing a couple very popular songs. Time to hang it upward.....

MIXED

Was and then excited to see him. Overall, he sounds great. Unfortunatrly, he played none of his hits in the 1 hit that he played, Moondance didn't fifty-fifty audio similar the song. The band appeared to wake upwardly at the finish of the evening which was a shame for they were splendid. Also pitiful that he never best-selling his ring simply they had to repeatedly say his proper noun.

VAN MORRISON AT GREEK THEATER, BERKELEY ON SEPT. 30, 2021

The iv of us enjoyed Van Morrison's concert at the Greek Theatre (built in 1903) on the Berkeley campus. He and his band put on a consummate professional performance, and I enjoyed hearing some of his new songs, composed during lockdown. They are very jazz influenced, more brusque and clipped sounding, non the long lyric pieces of before; however, they are musically advanced, and his same personality is evident in the pithy lyrics and the tart commentary on mod state politics. I loved, especially, Ancient Highway. He gets better with age, and his voice is however truthful. He is a fine flawless musician, playing the harmonica and saxophone. The crowd was a cute group of people, loving and loyal to Van. There were immature people also, and there were people my age, who've been Van fans since they were 5 yrs, and call up the wonder of the early on 'lxx's music and the times. https://www.youtube.com/picket?five=ZuKHzh4zkMM This one is some years old, really at present. He did one encore, an even older vocal, Into the Mystic, then nosotros could see from where we were sitting, high up in the theatre, on the far left, his machine waiting to take him abroad. He was bustled into the auto, then waited to hear the love and appreciation of the crowd for a few minutes, before driving away.

A Groovy SHOW, Distressing FOR THE INCONVENIENT VENUE

I have been to several shows at the Fiddler's Greenish Ampitheater over the years. This was one of the best performances I've attended. It seemed the sound was well tuned and the band with Van had a great night. His classic sound was a bit jazzed up and several of his greatest hits had a slight twist merely to go on it interesting. well done. Unfortunately I cannot say any thing about Taj Mahal, as nosotros were still standing in line waiting to get into the venue! Arriving 45 minutes early on seemed reasonable to be within to at least see Taj on stage. Not True! By the fourth dimension nosotros waited in line for nearly TWO HOURS Taj had finished and we were lucky to detect a spot just in time to see Van and the ring come up on stage. Not bad bear witness! Thank you Van Morrison and all the band Super performance! Its may be a while, if ever that I return to Fiddlers. Very disappointed about the mess and disaster trying to go in.

VAN MORRISON AT FIDDLERS GREEN

Being in the presence of Van Morrison was magical. He keeps the music fresh - fifty-fifty with his standards. He and his band Are seamless, information technology'southward a matter of beauty to watch so perform together. He gives his ring their due, while being the maestro of his music. A satisfying evening - his performance was like listening to a jam and a well- synthetic concert. Beautiful evening

Eye Broken

I havent been to Fiddlers in about 20 years and was completely disappointed by the lack of system; nosotros came to run across Taj and completely missed his set! It felt like the venue sold more than tickets than there was space. Waiting in a line then long causing half the audience to miss the outset gear up is just wrong! I arrived at v:30 for a 7 o'clock show, entering lawn seating with admittedly no room for u.s.a.. The vibe felt like crashing a party we weren't invited to. Later some of the hardest times of my life, I was more than ready to dance and accept my heart cradled by Taj Mahal'southward musical souvenir. Hope I can run across Taj shortly.

MY FAVORITE MUSICIAN BUTCHERED HIS Own SONGS!

I'yard 45 and Van has been my favorite musician since I was in high school. I spent $800 and gave up parenting time w my son on a night I had him so that I could finally encounter Van Morrison in concert which has been a dream of mine for years. His energy was so low, zero connection w the audience, and then he absolutely butchered his own music on several songs be having completely rewritten the rhythm to make them jazzy in a very choppy manner, Including my all time favorite "into the mystic" which took me a full minute to fifty-fifty recognize equally being that song. On a positive annotation, he was dressed dapper and did a overnice job playing the sax and harmonica. Nonetheless, his band stole the bear witness at the end when Van left the stage and put on the best operation of the dark.

TERRIBLE GATE MANAGEMENT AND A Brusque SHOW

Caesar'south did an awful job of managing ticket-holder entry into the venue. Nosotros were there at 7:30pm and did not go thru the gates until 8:15pm, and Van started playing right at 8pm. Terrible effect direction. There were hundreds of people in the same boat. Van was great, only for the price of the ticket, he played 1 hour and 23 minutes. Some a*hole was in our seats, had to get them moved...and so really saw about 55 minutes of the concert. I've seen Van a coupe of times. He is my favorite singer, simply this performance and evening was sub-par at best.

VAN MORRISON IS All the same THE MAN

Nosotros flew to Vegas to see i of our all time idols, and much to our delight, Van Morrison proved he is still the man. Van played for nearly an hour and a half. His venue mixed with Jazz and a sprinkling of sometime favorites. Anyone worried that at Van'due south historic period he may be losing his vocalism tin exist rest assured that he even so sounds shine as butter, at to the lowest degree to this old fan'due south ears. The only reason I give four stars is considering I just wish it would have gone on longer. When he left the stage his band continue to play for awhile. We thought he would come back for an encore, but he never did. He left the states wanting more... Maybe this was all part of his plan. Groovy prove overall.

HORRIBLE

Get-go I must say - we were warned this was non going to be a good experience. Obviously I ignored the comment. We grew up listening to Van Morrison. We attended his concert with another couple. The concert was absolutely horrendous. We were on the 4th row and so we had a bird'southward centre view. His words were jumbled and the music was 99.9% scat. Information technology was And so WEIRD. He played two of his hits. Just two. Van doesn't admit his audience. He acted like he could not wait to become off the phase. He does not acknowledge his ring either. I felt bad for them simply not equally bad as I felt for us. It was the worst concert nosotros have ever seen and we have seen over 150. I would not waste a dime to see this guy. Still shaking my head.

WHAT A Thwarting AT GREEK THEATER

O.M., I get that musicians mayhap become tired of playing sometime songs, but really? Simply old familiar songs were Brown Eyed Daughter and Gloria...and those were his encore songs. First office was lots of swing/scat, which afterward three songs, all sounded the same. He did practise jazzy, upbeat rendition of Moondance and Have I told you lately That I love you. This concert was more that 50% of listening to extremely long, drawn out instrumental solos past his ring. After encore, his band was still playing, leading audience to believe he would return again. 18 minutes later--nope, lights went on and everyone looked at each other, saying WTF, that's it?? Have never, ever heard so much negativity from unhappy disappointed people at a concert ever. Save your money. He phoned information technology in....do him the same favor.

THE All-time

He was Great. If you wanted to hear his hits and favorites, stay dwelling house and play your cds. His voice is still exceptionally potent and amazing for a fellow of 45 or 50, only at 70+ information technology was incredible. The prove was not just Van, but the orchestra he put together for the performance was tops. He played the songs the style he felt nearly them today, and we loved it.

Hullo VAN, Call back US, THE Audience?

A highly anticipated concert we paid $$$ to meet. Love his music, his style, his decades-long dedication to artistry, just still disappointed by Midweek's testify. I'd heard Van can be less than engaging in live performance. That turned out to be the instance. A string of jazzy tunes and subdued versions of too few hits didn't reach the audience. He clearly wanted to deliver a clubby, comfortable set, but Van Morrison's appeal comes from his rousing soulful hits. Distressing, Van, you gotta give the folks what they came for.

LOVED VAN

Show was great, ring was awesome, they went thur many songs, well-nigh were new, with a jazz twist. I've been waiting to run into him for years and finally got the chance. Well worth the ticket toll. Could sentry same show again.

CHICAGO THEATRE Last NIGHT

Waited my whole life to see Van Morrison. His ring was fantastic. Had heard that he was indifferent to his audience, but last dark he seemed engaged and into his music. Unfortunately his vocalization is 73 years former and it shows. Had I not known the lyrics to all of his music it would have been unintelligible. Tickets were expensive and quite frankly I was disappointed.

JUST OKAY....

Saw Van in Virginia last night. I've always loved his music, and that's nevertheless dynamite! Nosotros were in 20th row, and could encounter aught due to poor phase set up. Everything/Everybody bunched in a ball in the heart of the huge stage when they could have been spread out so we could encounter these people. I searched today to endeavour to find out who his 2018 bout ring members are, and there is no recognition of them that I tin find. Disappointing considering the only i I could actually see, was the female on percussions who was astonishing. ALL of them were amazing, but who are they? All of them hidden in a tight group behind big speakers which blocked the view while totally unnecessary. two/3 of the stage was empty! Morrison never acknowledged his band, nor the audition. No encore. He only split before the last song which his incognito ring completed. Information technology was weird. The music was fantastic, but make sure you take extreme forepart middle seats or you won't be able to see much. Super poor set-up design.

THE BELFAST COWBOY ROCKED BOSTON!!!

Terminal night's show at the BHB Pavilion in Boston was fantastic! I have seen Van over the years play at the Wang, the Opera Firm and on many occasions. I thought that his energy was on bespeak- information technology looked similar he was enjoying himself, which after playing night afterward night, must be difficult and exhausting! Normally his quiet sitting audition is hushful and timid but anybody was dancing, laughing and generally having a great fourth dimension and enjoying the music in a not disruptive style. His band was commanded by the great band leader, sounded keen and also looked to be enjoying themselves. The diverseness of albums he touched upon allowed for something for everyone. Overall loved it! Volition e'er meet him when he rolls into boondocks!!!!

DISAPPOINTING SOUND

Band was not bad, Vocals should accept been more prominent in the mix, overall volume should have been louder (and I never say that) thought information technology was a muted. The Pavilion needs to get some Thou-2s and Mr. Morrison should look for a new FOH engineer. Also the camera director had problem figuring out who was playing the solos, which also should have been featured more than prominently. Was really looking forward to the testify, left unfulfilled. Pitiful Van.

Alive SHOW BITES

Average rating. Music a five, presentation 0. I"d been told he doesn't care what his audition thinks or wants to hear, but down from AK I came for the Tues. night show. His daughter opened and was wonderful. She even gave accolades to the bass thespian, which was more than Van did. Yup, no chit chat, he just pumped out one vocal subsequently another without any time to relish each i in between. He didn't even introduce the band. I felt pitiful for the band members, merely they must be paid well. Put down the guitar and bustle upward to pick up another for the adjacent song. Put downwards the trumpet and hurry over to the keyboard for the side by side tune. Let'due south run across how fast nosotros can get this over with, is what I idea. Possibly jet lag from beingness in Europe? No encore, Tues. He was actually booed at the end. The venue has great acoustics, and the staff were all pleasant. I had a mid balcony seat and had plenty of room. I would never pay to run into a show of his, again, even if the songs were great.

GREAT SHOW!

Wow! Van Morrison still has the voice - not all entertainers do at his age. He packed in the songs, with no gaps in betwixt. No chit chat with the audience, but that's fine. It was all about the music. I liked hearing his interpretation of some American jazz/early pop classics. Wish he had done an Irish tune, simply all in all, a dandy great bear witness.
